SWORN TRANSLATIONS
Foreign-language documents that have to be submitted to an official body, such as a bank or notary, or a government agency, require a sworn translation. There’s often a lot at stake with documents of this kind, such as a citizenship application, business transaction or marriage. It’s also a complex process that varies from country to country. A sworn translator is a translator who has taken an oath in court, is on the official list of sworn translators, can submit a sworn translator’s declaration and has an accreditation number issued by the FPS Justice. This number is always stated on the translated document. Language Service offers you professional translations for all your official documents, including both sworn and certified translations for domestic use and legalisations and apostilles for abroad.
APOSTILLE AND LEGALISED TRANSLATION AS AN ADDITIONAL STEP
Sometimes a sworn translation is not sufficient and additional authentication or apostille is needed. For the use of sworn translations abroad, Language Service can arrange the necessary stamps with FPS Justice, FPS Foreign Affairs or an embassy.
